Latest information and advice when travelling with Cadbury Cars:

As the South West’s leading luxury chauffeur company, Cadbury Cars are taking unparalleled steps to ensure the safety of both our clients and our staff during the Coronavirus pandemic. Cadbury Cars are following all the government recommendations for transport providers to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Training

We’ve been busy making sure that all our chauffeurs are trained to ensure they follow correct safety procedures, for both our clients and themselves.

Chauffeur Hygiene

In the event that one of our chauffeurs develops symptoms of the coronavirus, or if they become aware that they have had contact with an infected individual, our chauffeur will immediately self-isolate and withdraw from service until completely recovered. We’ve advised all our chauffeurs to be extra vigilant with personal and vehicle hygiene procedures and to make sure they monitor their own health at all times.

All our chauffeurs are aware and are following guidance on the importance of correct and proper hand washing for 20 seconds, and have been trained and shown this guidance from the NHS about how to undertake  proper hand washing.

Our clients can rest assured that once our chauffeurs have finished their work and dropped off a client, prior to cleaning the vehicle, the chauffeur will first wash their hands thoroughly. Having done this, they will then focus on cleaning and sanitising the used vehicle.

Vehicle Hygiene

Prior to each new client entering one of our vehicles, our chauffeur will sanitise the seats, door handles and all surfaces where the previous passenger may have had contact with anti-bacterial, disinfectant wipes.

Once the car has been fully sanitised, the chauffeur will then wash their hands again.

Please be aware we’re making sure our vehicles and all surfaces likely to be touched, are paid extra attention for cleaning during this time; areas in the cars such as:

  • door handles and arm rests
  • seat belts
  • interior door panel
  • all handles
  • windows
  • locks
  • door storage areas
  • cup holders
  • power cords or phone chargers
  • seats
  • exterior door handles
  • children’s car seats.
  • Soft surfaces like interior carpets are also being treated.

Welcoming and greeting procedures

Upon arrival at your car, your chauffeur will offer you the use of our in-car hand sanitiser gel and anti-bacterial, sanitising wipes.

Please don’t be offended if we don’t offer to shake your hand during this time. Our chauffeurs have been trained to refrain from contact with you by way of shaking hands, and instead, we’ll simply say “hello”. We recommend our clients sit behind the Chauffeur; there have been no scientific studies, but we recommend the safest place to sit is directly behind your chauffeur.

Social Distancing

Social distancing, also called “physical distancing,” means keeping space between yourself and other people outside of your home. Here at Cadbury Cars we recognise that by keeping at least 6 feet (about 2 arms’ length) from other people is important, and is one of the best tools we have to avoid both our chauffeurs and clients being exposed to this virus and slowing its spread locally and across the country.

Our policy is to ensure that our chauffeurs will make every endeavour to follow social distancing guidelines and maintain this recommended distance from our clients wherever it is possible.

Magazines and newspapers

We won’t be offering our normal array of in-car daily papers or magazines while the pandemic is ongoing, as these are commonly touched objects that could spread the coronavirus.

In Car Refreshments

Bottled water is always available in car to all our clients.

Protective wear

Advice from the World Health Organisation(WHO) about the use of facial masks in the context of COVID-19 can be found here: https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/advice-for-public/when-and-how-to-use-masks

Although it is not current UK government advice or a requirement to use facial masks at this time, Cadbury Cars is keen to ensure that we have taken all possible measures to protect our clients and ensure their safety at this time, so we have decided that complimentary in-car masks will be supplied and available for our clients use if requested.

Our chauffeurs will also wear gloves to support customers with luggage in an effort to minimise contact and to reassure passengers.

Safety is our number one priority:

Cadbury Cars are endeavouring to take our most responsible approach towards minimising the risk of coronavirus infection and trying to help stop the spread of this disease.  We’d like to thank our clients for your support during these difficult times, and for your patience and understanding with these new safety measures that we have introduced in response to this global pandemic.

As lockdown lifts, and as ‘normal’ life resumes, we will continue to guarantee that your chauffeur vehicle will be hygienically cleaned prior and after your hire. Safety remains our number one priority.

We wish you all our best during these challenging times and hope that you and your loved ones are safe.
