Ensuring safer chauffeur-driven travel during the Coronavirus pandemic
Covid 19 Travelling with Cadbury Cars
As the South West’s leading luxury chauffeur company, Cadbury Cars are taking unparalleled steps to ensure the safety of both our clients and our staff during the Coronavirus pandemic. Cadbury Cars are following all the government recommendations for transport providers to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
We’ve been busy making sure that all our chauffeurs are trained to ensure they follow correct safety procedures, for both our clients and themselves.
In the event that one of our chauffeurs develops symptoms of the coronavirus, or if they become aware that they have had contact with an infected individual, our chauffeur will immediately self-isolate and withdraw from service until completely recovered. We’ve advised all our chauffeurs to be extra vigilant with personal and vehicle hygiene procedures and to make sure they monitor their own health at all times.
All our chauffeurs are aware and are following guidance on the importance of correct and proper hand washing for 20 seconds, and have been trained and shown this guidance from the NHS about how to undertake proper hand washing.
Our clients can rest assured that once our chauffeurs have finished their work and dropped off a client, prior to cleaning the vehicle, the chauffeur will first wash their hands thoroughly. Having done this, they will then focus on cleaning and sanitising the used vehicle.
Prior to each new client entering one of our vehicles, our chauffeur will sanitise the seats, door handles and all surfaces where the previous passenger may have had contact with anti-bacterial, disinfectant wipes.
Once the car has been fully sanitised, the chauffeur will then wash their hands again.
Please be aware we’re making sure our vehicles and all surfaces likely to be touched, are paid extra attention for cleaning during this time; areas in the cars such as:
- door handles and arm rests
- seat belts
- interior door panel
- all handles
- door storage areas
- cup holders
- power cords or phone chargers
- exterior door handles
- children’s car seats.
- Soft surfaces like interior carpets are also being treated.
Welcoming and greeting procedures
Upon arrival at your car, your chauffeur will offer you the use of our in-car hand sanitiser gel and anti-bacterial, sanitising wipes.
Please don’t be offended if we don’t offer to shake your hand during this time. Our chauffeurs have been trained to refrain from contact with you by way of shaking hands, and instead, we’ll simply say “hello”. We recommend our clients sit behind the Chauffeur; there have been no scientific studies, but we recommend the safest place to sit is directly behind your chauffeur.
Social distancing, also called “physical distancing,” means keeping space between yourself and other people outside of your home. Here at Cadbury Cars we recognise that by keeping at least 6 feet (about 2 arms’ length) from other people is important, and is one of the best tools we have to avoid both our chauffeurs and clients being exposed to this virus and slowing its spread locally and across the country.
Our policy is to ensure that our chauffeurs will make every endeavour to follow social distancing guidelines and maintain this recommended distance from our clients wherever it is possible.
- For chauffeured journeys with 1-2 passengers we will use our Silver or Black 4-seater – Chrysler 300c and 300c Executive cars with our chauffeur in front and passenger behind in rear seats.
- For chauffeured journeys for parties of 3-6 passengers we will use our Silver 6-seater – Chrysler Grand Voyager and encourage passengers to sit as spaced apart as possible on each row of seats.
Magazines and newspapers
We won’t be offering our normal array of in-car daily papers or magazines while the pandemic is ongoing, as these are commonly touched objects that could spread the coronavirus.
In Car Refreshments
Bottled water is always available in car to all our clients.
Advice from the World Health Organisation(WHO) about the use of facial masks in the context of COVID-19 can be found here: https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/advice-for-public/when-and-how-to-use-masks
Although it is not current UK government advice or a requirement to use facial masks at this time, Cadbury Cars is keen to ensure that we have taken all possible measures to protect our clients and ensure their safety at this time, so we have decided that complimentary in-car masks will be supplied and available for our clients use if requested.
Our chauffeurs will also wear gloves to support customers with luggage in an effort to minimise contact and to reassure passengers.
Safety is our number one priority:
Cadbury Cars are endeavouring to take our most responsible approach towards minimising the risk of coronavirus infection and trying to help stop the spread of this disease. We’d like to thank our clients for your support during these difficult times, and for your patience and understanding with these new safety measures that we have introduced in response to this global pandemic.
As lockdown lifts, and as ‘normal’ life resumes, we will continue to guarantee that your chauffeur vehicle will be hygienically cleaned prior and after your hire. Safety remains our number one priority.
We wish you all our best during these challenging times and hope that you and your loved ones are safe.

Business & Corporate Travel
Chauffeur services are ideal for a reliable door-to-door service for business travellers on the road to meetings, for airport transfers, train station drop offs or simply if you want to make the right impression. Using our chauffeur service not only reduces the time and trouble of parking, it allows you to use the travel time to work or rest.
Our services are also perfect for corporate events where directors or managers want to travel together – to conferences, meetings or events. Our people carriers can accommodate up to 7 passengers and they are perfect for team away days, awards ceremony events and conferences when a whole team wish to travel together.
Cadbury Cars have been my chauffeur service for the past 6 years. They are the most reliable & courteous business I have ever encountered in their field. Mark & Katie are a delight – nothing is ever too much trouble, no matter whether it is a last-minute booking or a pick-up in the middle of the night
VIPs/Film & TV work
Cadbury Cars offers discrete reliable travel service for VIPs, MPs, international dignitaries and celebrities for any range of requirements; meetings, lunches, evening events and personal appointments. Any of our 4-seater vehicles are ideally suited to these clients.
Our larger vehicles (carrying up to 7 people) are often used for on location film work – transporting cast and crew from hotels to the filming location. Our cars are also available for film and TV work.
Your driver for the US film crew was polite courteous and helpful. He was flexible with a constantly changing timetable and available at the end of the phone for requests of where to be and when. I’d have no hesitation in using you again for film/TV services.
Our airport taxi transfer service operates by appointment only – to and from Bristol and any UK national airport whether you’re jetting off on holiday or catching a flight for a business trip. We offer fixed fares, 24-hour service, 7 days per week (pre-booking required), with no additional booking fees. You will have a personal point of contact for your booking and our driver will meet and greet you at the arrivals gate, or at a pre-arranged meeting point, with a name board.
We have a range of cars to suit the number of passengers and can accommodate up to 7 people with luggage in our largest people carrier.
Cadbury Cars is our go-to provider for business travel arrangements. They offer a professional, tailor-made service to suit our requirements. They are always easy to get hold of and they accommodate our every need. We would certainly recommend them to others.
Cadbury Cars offers a specialist service to UK airlines positioning airline personnel (flight and cabin crew) to airports throughout the country for flight crew teams and standby crew. We have worked with various airlines including Fly Be, BMI, Thomas Cook, Net Jet and EasyJet.
Always reliable, courteous and friendly. Wouldn’t use anyone else for our client needs.
